Helmond Sport went on the road Friday evening to face FC Oss and came away with a two-goal victory in the regional rivalry game.
American Charles Kazlauskas took his usual starting spot in midfield against his former club and went the distance.
The game opened up with a goal from the penalty spot from Bruno Fernandes de Brito in the 40th minute. Oss 'keeper Wilko de Vogt dove to his left but the Helmond midfielder put his strike in the upper right corner for the one goal lead.
The home team's Karim Fachtali leveled the score in the 56th minute as he raced on to a ball on the right side of the penalty area. His shot skipped through the legs of a charging Robert Van Westerop for his third goal of the season.
Striker Marc Höcher claimed the game winner in the 78th minute as his penalty slammed in to the right side of the goal as de Vogt once again dove to his left.
Johan Voskamp put the game away as Oss were pressing for the equalizer. He raced on the counter-attack, beating two defenders and then chipped the ball over the on-rushing Oss keeper for the two-goal victory.
Hemond Sport will play their second game in a row on the road when they travel to face RBC Roosendaal next Friday.
