Jamil Fearrington and Roskilde ended the season's first half on a sour note, being handily beaten by FC Fyn to slip into the league's bottom three.

Worn down from the rough fall months, Roskilde had hoped that a home game against fellow relegation struggler Fyn would give them the chance to put some distance to the drop zone.

Their best intentions were immediately met with stiff resistance from their visitors, who were equally determined to keep their tenuous grip on their First Division status after promotion to the league.

Fyn immediately proved to be more aggressive of the two teams, with Lasse Vibe causing Roskilde's defense several nervous moments in the early minutes. Roskilde's leading scorer Jeppe Kjśr came close for the hosts in the 21st minute, however that would be the only risk to Fyn as they continued to dominate the half.

Their tenacity was rewarded on the stroke of halftime in controversial fashion, as the linesman flagged Fyn's Jesper Luth for being in an offside position, however the referee continued play as he judged the midfielder to be playing only a passive role in the action.

With the Roskilde players protesting the non-call, Jeppe Jensen kept his cool, rounded the keeper and slotted into goal for the disputed 1-0 lead.

The game was effectively over two minutes after the break with Steffen Algreen beating the keeper on a corner from Claus Pedersen, and the hosts were unable to show any substantial signs of recovery throughout the remainder of the game.

Vibe added an insurance goal with three minutes on the clock to give the visitors the final 3-0 win, and more importantly, a six-point safety gap at the season's midway point.

The loss combined with Kolding's blowout win over Brabrand sends Roskilde just below the surface to start the extended winter break, trailing Kolding by only the narrowest of margins in goal differential.

They will have a four-month winter break to contemplate their new standing, with the team resuming First Division play on March 21 with a visit to FC Vestsjślland.
