Should U.S. Soccer bring back the U.S. Cup?
Absolutely. It would be far more competitive than the CONCACAF Nations League.
No. The international calendar is already congested.
Not sure.
WOODY BAUM - Friday, January 29, 2010
Herculez Gomez looks to leave his mark in Mexico while Paco Torres will put in his two cents on who should hold down the midfield in Hidalgo.

America - Indios

Indios of Ciudad Juarez face a daunting task as they hope to end their 19 game winless streak when they visit the Estadio Azteca this Sunday afternoon.

This will surely be an emotional match for America as they play their first game since Paraguayan striker Salvador Cabañas was shot in the head last Sunday night in Mexico City. America had been hot as of late but it remains to be seen how they will respond to the loss of their beloved striker.

Marco Vidal hopes to again contribute after a surprise start last week when Indios held Santos to a scoreless draw.

Aquivaldo Mosquera, Armando Navarrete and Arnhold Rivas will be out injured for America. Indios will be missing Arturo Echavarria and Elliot Huitron.

Pachuca- Atlante

Pachuca and Atlante will look to rebound from disappointing losses last weekend when they meet this Saturday evening in the Estadio Hidalgo.

Look for an exciting match from both teams as Atlante's traditional aggressive style of play will be met by a Pachuca squad trying to exact some revenge as it returns home.

Paco Torres should expect his second start in a row due to the three-game suspension that Damián Alvarez is currently serving. The American international is hoping to use this window to show new head coach Guillermo Rivarola that he deserves the starting spot. However, he will need to improve after failing to leave an impression in last week's disappointing road loss to the Gallos Blancos.

Pachuca will also be without Javier Muñoz Mustafa who suffered a concussion last week when visiting Querétaro. Atlante should have their entire squad ready.

Puebla - Gallos Blancos

Puebla host the Gallos Blancos this Sunday afternoon in what promises to be an explosive game for two teams coming off big wins.

Puebla was able to correct a loss to Interliga rival Estudiantes last week in Guadalajara. Meanwhile, the Gallos Blancos managed to hold off league powerhouse Pachuca in Querétaro. Both teams will be looking to repeat this recent success.

Recent America acquisition Herculez Gomez should continue to see the field after appearing in Puebla's two league matches as a second half substitute. After coming close last week when he drew a penalty that gave his team the victory last week, Gomez will be looking for his first league goal in this week's encounter.

Both teams should have their complete squad's this Sunday at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc.

Edgar Castillo will not be traveling with Tigres to face Jaguares this weekend as he is out injured.

Michael Orozco is unlikely to feature for San Luis when Monarcas Morelia visit, as he has yet to suit up amidst reports that he is soon to be shown the door by the team.
