Daniel Antunez and Inter succumbed to two first half goals in Kupio this weekend while the Greg Eckhardt took another step back toward the playing field.
KuPS 2 - 1 FC Inter
Antunez started in central midfield and went the distance as Inter fell in Northern Savonia on Sunday evening.
Miikka Ilo got the hosts on the board after just nine minutes with a solo effort past Inter's Canadian keeper David Monsalve.
Six minutes before the break Ilo showed off his skills as a provider, laying a freekick off to Pietari Holopainen who didn't waste the opportunity to put KuPS up two.
Guillano Grot gave the Magnum Areena crowd a little to worry about with his 78th minute tally off of a Daniel Osinachi assist, but the Kuopion defense held out for the full three points.
Inter are now mired in 11th place with just four points from their first four games, while KuPS are now tied for third.
Greg Eckhardt was on the bench but did not see action as VPS tied TPS in 1-1 in Turku on Friday night. Teammate Brian Pope remains out long-term with a shoulder injury.
