CHRISTOPHER ANDERSON - Tuesday, May 11, 2010
In a rematch of last Sunday's thriller, Eddie Johnson, Freddy Adu and company host the Athenians with little more than pride and qualification into later rounds of next season's Europa League on the line.

Both of the Americans on Aris' side of the field can expect playing time given the suspensions in the wake of last weekend's bout.

Although opening the playoffs with a win over Olympiakos, the Black and Golds have stumbled in their last two encounters, most recently squandering a comeback and conceding three goals within the final quarter hour against Athens.

Regulars Javier Campora and Toni Calvo will take a seat on the Aris bench for the rematch after seeing red in the game, joining the already suspended Darcy Dolce Neto.

On a brighter note Sergio Koke returns to the lineup after recovering from injury.

AEK will also be without the services of keeper Sebastián Saja and Sanel Jahić for their respective ejections.

Skipper Dusan Bajevic will have to keep an eye on Argentinians Nacho Scocco and Carlos Araujo, each recovering from slight injuries picked up on Sunday.

With three points in the play-off standings, a win will help Aris leapfrog Athens into third and put them in position to potentially nab second place with two games left.

Such a finish will secure a berth in the playoff round of Europa League next season.
