Alejandro Bedoya has work to do in Sweden before joining the National Team camp in New Jersey as the first of Örebro's final two matches before the Allsvenskan midsummer break kicks off on Thursday in Gamla Ullevi.

The Swedish season started earlier than normal this spring to allow for a pause for the World Cup. So by Monday, Örebro will have completed 14 league matches in two months.

The early start has left three most recent champions, AIK, Kalmar and IFK Göteborg tumbling to the bottom of the standings. While Kalmar has improved, IFK's only success recently has been a 4 -0 win over AIK.

This accelerated schedule and cold weather has been murder for the grass at the shared stadium in Göthenburg, and a major transplantation has been carried out to ensure the field is up to standard.

The new turf will get a stern test as forecasts call for heavy rain all day Thursday.

Fredrik Risp, the Göteborg central defender, is injured and may have played his last match for the Blue and White. Sebastian Eriksson is suspended.

Örebro should have their normal starting 11 available. The only question is whether manager Sixten Bostrom will keep forward Paulinho Guará at the forward spot or allow Roni Porokara to return.

Bedoya and IFK's Danish goalkeeper Kim Christensen are two of the Allsvenskan players on recently announced World Cup 30 man rosters.
