It is derby weekend in Finland as Daniel Antunez and Inter face TPS while Greg Eckhardt and VPS travel to take on Jaro.
TPS - FC Inter
Antunez is expected to resume his role in central midfield for Inter as he gets his first taste of the Turku derby on Saturday evening in an away match at the friendly confines of Veritas Stadium.
The California native played a big role in Inter's midweek Suomen Cupin victory, scoring four goals as Inter advanced past SexyPöxyt, a fourth division foe from Espoo, by a 6-0 margin.
Inter's defensive duo of Joni Aho and Ari Nyman have been selected by Finland boss Stuart Baxter to take part in a friendly against Estonia next weekend, meaning they could face limited participation in Inter's home game against Tampere United the following Monday.
Inter are 11th in the Veikkausliiga table with four points from four games, while their local rivals are third with double the points.
FF Jaro - VPS
Greg Eckhardt will hope to take part in a local grudge match of his own on Sunday evening when VPS travel up the Ostrabothnian coast to Jakobstad to take on Jaro.
The former Clemson Tiger went the distance in defense for VPS as they beat FC Jazz midweek in the Finnish Cup fifth round, coming back to win 2-1.
The defender will be hoping to make his Veikkausliiga debut, lining up against former Finland international Alexei Eremenki Jr, currently on loan to his father's team from Metalist Kharkiv.
Goalkeeper Brian Pope is out long-term with a shoulder injury and will not suit up for VPS.
The Vaasa boys are now in 9th place tied with Jaro, and four other teams, with four points from the first four games.
