PREVIEW: ASSYRINSKA - LJUNGSKILE
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
Friday, May 28, 2010
It is onward and upward for Nick Noble and Ljungskile who look to continue their unbeaten run when they visit Assyriska on Saturday at Södertälje Fotbollsarena.

Noble should once again be manning the pipes as the starting goalkeeper for the visitors.

Noble's play this season has been superb as the former Austin Aztex netminder has started all eight league matches for the club and has allowed only three goals.

The flip side is that Ljungskile's offense has been downright abysmal having only registered a paltry four goals on the campaign.

Despite their offensive shortcomings, Ljungskile are right in the thick of the promotion chase sitting in sixth place with 13 points in the Superettan standings.

The western Swedish club have an eight match unbeaten streak in all compeititons and have yet to drop a result since their season-opening defeat to Syrianska FC.

During that span, Noble has shut out opponents seven times.

Nicklas Svensson continues to be sidelined with an injury and is unavailable for Ljungskile while Assyrinska will have a full squad available.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
