Former Everton prospect Cody Arnoux has departed Europe and signed with the Vancouver Whitecaps of the USSF-Division 2.

Arnoux had been with the Toffees last season on a one year contract while playing for the club's reserve squad.

Last spring the former Wake Forest product trialed at Scottish Premier Club Motherwell but was not offered a short-term loan.

Earlier this summer Arnoux also trialed with English League One club Plymouth Argyle but did not receive an offer.

With the USSF D-2 season heading into its final months, Vancouver made the move to scoop up the former Demon Deacon to bolster its offense before postseason play.

"We have signed Cody Arnoux," confirmed Vancouver media officer Nathan Vanstone to YA.

Arnoux appeared in seven reserve league matches at Everton after starring for three seasons at Wake Forest where he scored 33 goals in three seasons and was a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy.
