TRAFTON KENNEY - Saturday, August 21, 2010
Carlos Bocanegra will make a quick return to the club he spent two seasons at when his new team Saint-Etienne face Rennes at the Stade de la Route de Lorient on Saturday.

The 31-year old American defender did not feature in last weekend's 3-2 win over Sochaux and he will be hoping to return to Christophe Galtier's starting lineup.

Rennes started off the season with a 1-1 tie against Lille before running out 3-0 winners over Nancy last weekend.

Coach Frédéric Antonetti is already working with a depleted squad with Sylvain Marveaux out with an adductor injury.

Fabien Lemoine will be out for six months after suffering a kidney injury against Nancy.

Saint Etienne are currently in 10th place in Ligue 1 while Rennes are in third.

First off, I must admit, this is as much a plausible wish-list as it is an attempt to decipher Klinsmann's plan.
