American midfielder DaMarcus Beasley has a new home after agreeing to terms with German Bundesliga club Hannover 96 on Monday morning.

Beasley joins Hannover after three previous seasons at Scottish Premier Club Rangers where he struggled to find any consistency amid injuries and a general lack of playing time.

He will also join fellow American Steve Cherundolo at the club where the veteran defender holds the honor of team captain.

Hannover officials confirmed that Beasley's contract will keep the Fort Wayne, Indiana native at the club through the 2011-2012 season.

"With DaMarcus we have another good option in our squad," said Hannover Sports Director Jorg Schmadtke. "This is important for a long league season, which we have successfully launched, but will also bring many challenges."

The fresh start at the Lower Saxony club appears to have re-energized the former PSV Eindhoven man who is already chomping at the bit to make an impact the club.

"I have two training sessions tomorrow," Beasley told YA. "I'm excited and ready to start playing."

Beasley will hope to see his first action with Hannover when they try to extend their hot start to the Bundesliga season on September 11th versus Bayer Leverkusen.

Unfortunately, DMB will probably get less playing time in Germany than he did in Scotland. DaMarcus, call up your friend Peter Nowak. Come back to MLS. Play every game. Be a star.

He won't be used as much simply because he is not as his peak anymore and he's injury prone.:...he will be a forgotten sub like he played for the rangers

It will be tough for Beasley to break through because the German league is so technical but I see him coming on as a sub in the 70th minute for most of the season. Good Luck DeMarcus!

Go DMB! May you regain the form that landed you in Europe in the first place.
