After spending multiple seasons playing in the youth ranks at Sporting Clube de Portugal, Greg Garza has signed a two year deal with GD Estoril-Praia of the Portuguese second division.

"In regards to Gregory Garza, he just signed a contract with Estoril Praia for two seasons," Traffic Sports Director Fernando Clavijo told YA on Tuesday. "Head Coach Viniciuos tracked him down in Sporting, and we were able to transfer him at the last minute."

The Texas native, who has represented the US at both the U-17 and U-20 levels as a left back, will team up with fellow Americans Tony Taylor and Bryan Arguez at the Traffic Sports operated team

Garza's academy team was twice crowned the national champions in his time at Sporting but he was never able to appear for the senior team or secure a professional contract, leaving the door open for his move to the Liga Orangina team.

The 19 year old will compete for a spot in a stingy backline that has only conceded three goals in the opening four matches of the season.
