Marco Vidal continued to state his case at Pachuca who drilled Atlante while Edgar Castillo made a rare appearance for San Luis in a win over his old club Tigres.

Estudiantes 0 – 0 Jaguares

Estudiantes tied Jagaures at home on Friday in an unspectacular match that saw both teams create very few chances.

Sammy Ochoa started and played 53 minutes before being substituted off for Rafael Medina.

Ochoa created one of the game's few chances in the first after when he recovered the ball near midfield and fed a pass to Mauro Cejas in the area, making a dangerous pass to Rubens Sambueza who sent the ball into the bleachers.

The pace of the game decreased with time as both teams seemed content with the tie.

Estudiantes will visit Tigres next Saturday.

San Luis 1 – 0 Tigres

San Luis defeated Tigres at home on Saturday in a match that saw Edgar Castillo see the field for the first time in several weeks.

Both teams played cautiously at first, reluctant to commit to the attack.

However it was youth star Othaniel Arce, of San Luis, who struck first in the 47th minute off a header from a pass by Sergio Ponce.

Shortly after, Castillo entered the game in the 71st minute for Cesar Gonzalez.

Castillo then went on to pick up a yellow card in the 88th minute.

San Luis will visit Atlas next week.

Atlante 1 – 3 Pachuca

Pachuca won their second game in a row on Sunday as they easily dispatched of Atlante in Cancun.

Marco Vidal remained in the started lineup again, playing all 90 minutes in the midfield.

Atlante scored first, in the 18th minute, when Johan Fano connected on a cross from Jeronimo Amione that beat Pachuca goalkeeper Miguel Calero.

However, Pachuca responded well with three uncontested in goals in the second half.

Paraguayan Edgar Benitez scored first in the 46th minute when he dribbled the ball into the area and managed to shoot past Atlante goalkeeper Moises Muñoz.

Benitez quickly scored again the 58th minute after connecting on a cross by Dario Cvitanich alone in the area to give the visitors the lead.

Jose Francisco Torres entered in the 69th minute to help give Pachuca some defensive cover while Herculez Gomez entered in the 86th minute to give Benitez a rest.

Dario Cvitanich scored Pachuca's third goal in the 90th minute after converting a header that Braulio Luna had centered his way.

Pachuca host Pumas next Saturday.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
