Wisconsin native JC Banks is hoping to become the latest yank to play in Sweden after undergoing a round of trials with various clubs.

Banks hails from Green Bay and is the son of former US national team player Jimmy Banks.

In the last few weeks the former University of Wisconsin-Green Bay standout has had trials at Charlie Davies' old club Hammarby along with Degerfors.

Both teams currently play in the Superettan, Sweden's second level of soccer.

This week the speedy attacking midfielder is with Allsvenskan club Trelleborgs FF where he hopes to make a good impression on club officials.

"JC has arrived to our club on Tuesday for the week," confirmed Trelleborgs Sports Director Lasse Larsson to YA.

Should Banks not come to terms with a club overseas, he will also have an opportunity to show his game stateside after being invited to the 2011 MLS combine next month in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
