Americans Rhett Bernstein and Mike Zaher are hoping to become the latest yanks to play in Norway as they are currently on trial at 1. Division club Mjondalen.
The club is the current home of defender Graham Dugoni whose play helped Mjondalen stave off relegation late last season.
Bernstein played his college soccer at Brown University before several short-tem playing stints in Sweden, Israel and Puerto Rico.
He was most recently with the San Diego Sockers in the Professional Arena Soccer League.
Zaher was a standout at UCLA before moving on to MLS where he played sparingly for DC United and the San Jose Earthquakes until spending last season with the Charleston Battery of USL-2.
Mjondalen indicated that the club is evaluating both players and will make a decision soon on whether or not a contract offer will be extended to either player.
"That is correct that Rhett and Mike are on trial," confirmed Mjondalen Sporting Director Kenneth Karlsen. "They are both guests at this club at the moment."
Both Zaher and Bernstein will hope to be part of the Mjondalen squad that opens their 1. Division season on April 3rd against Kongsvinger.
