Sean Cunningham today signed a three year contract with Norwegian club Molde FK today on his 18th birthday following a successful trial.

"Sean signed a 3 year deal today with us," Molde press officer Per Laines told YA on Monday.

As an up and coming left back, Cunningham will join fellow American and U-20 standout winger Josh Gatt on also recently signed with Molde. The two teenagers will now play under new head coach and former Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Cunningham, a native of Troy, Michigan, has played for US youth national teams in the past. Most recently he was with the U-18 national team but he has yet to break into the U-20 team.

Cunningham will now travel to Spain with the club in to begin their preseason.
