Herculez Gomez and Pachuca travel north to take on Apertura champions Monterrey while the rest of the yanks in Mexico hope to see minutes in week five of the 2011 Clausura.

Monterrey - Pachuca

Nothing would be better for Herculez Gomez and Pachuca than a bounce-back win over Apertura champions Monterrey on Saturday at Estadio Tecnologico.

The Tuzos are still licking their wounds from last weekend's humiliating 0-4 loss to Cruz Azul and need a win to right their ship.

Gomez came on as a halftime substitute against Cruz Azul and will hope to see another good chunk of time at forward for the guests.

Fellow US international Jose Francisco Torres has not see much of the field thus far in the Clausura and will probably struggle to see any action against the Rayados.

It will be a tall task this weekend for the Tuzos who face a Monterrey club that is hunting for a win.

The Apertura champions have experienced a bit of a hangover effect having won just once this season despire boasting one of the most powerful attacks in Mexico.

Well-known forwards Humberto 'El Chupete' Suazo and Aldo De Nigris strike fear in the heart of any defense, yet that duo has sputtered out of the gates in 2011.

Pachuca will have a full squad while Monterrey will be missing Sergio Santana due to injury.

Jonathan Bornstein will hope to see action for Tigres who travel to Santos on Saturday. Bornstein did not play last weekend.

Estudiantes' American duo Daniel Antunez and Sammy Ochoa are likely to watch their team's match at San Luis on the bench.

Edgar Castillo may see some second half minutes for Puebla who host undefeated Pumas.

Isaac Acuna will not be suiting up for Gallos Blancos who travel to Mexico City to take on Acuna' parent club America.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how Torres fell out of favor at Pachuca?
