EXTRA TIME
JOHN KRETLOW - Friday, February 18, 2011
Tim Howard will look to keep Chelsea at bay while Clint Dempsey pits his wits against Stuart Holden as the FA Cup heats up.

Chelsea - Everton

Tim Howard will need to be on point as wavering Chelsea look to stand their ground in the FA Cup.

This will be their second meeting in the FA Cup having drawn 1-1 at Goodison Park, but Everton have not won a game in West London since 1994.

That news coupled with the fact that Louis Saha is out until March 5th does not bode well for the Liverpool club. Jack Rodwell and Ross Barkley are also out injured.

Chelsea will look to get back to winning ways after drawing 0-0 at home to Fulham. Fernando Torres will look to get back to scoring ways in front of the home faithful and Chelsea will be getting Yuri Zhirkov and Alex back at the beginning of next month. Yossi Benayoun will be out until April with an Achilles injury.

Fulham - Bolton

Clint Dempsey and Fulham welcome Stuart Holden and Bolton to Craven Cottage in the FA Cup.

Fulham drew in their last outing against Chelsea but will look to take the positives out of their recent consistency on the field. Fulham have Bobby Zamora back in their ranks but Dickson Etuhu and Philippe Senderos will be back in the mix next week.

Bolton will be without Zat Knight who twisted his knee in Bolton's 1-0 away win over Wigan, while news has surfaced that Sam Ricketts will be out for the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles. Jlloyd Samuel is the last Trotter out, suffering from a calf muscle strain.

Preston North End Queens Park Rangers

Eddie Johnson and Preston North End take on Queens Park Rangers in Championship action.

Johnson started in last week's loss to Hull City and should again feature for his new team.

Preston are currently dead last and will need a monumental effort to climb out of the relegation zone. A win over the league leaders would be an impressive start to a run.

Forward Leon Clarke will miss for Preston.

QPR are hoping to get back to winning ways after suffering a tie last week against Nottingham Forest. They hope to extend their lead over the rest of the pack.

Tommy Smith will miss for QPR with a hamstring injury.

Leeds United Norwich City

Eric Lichaj and Mike Grella look to help Leeds United as they take on Zak Whitbread and Norwich City.

Lichaj made his debut last week for Leeds and should be inserted into the lineup once again. Grella is not likely to feature.

Zak Whitbread played the final eleven minutes of the Canaries' last game and could be in the starting lineup this weekend.

Leeds is riding a five game unbeaten streak and hopes to continue that while solidifying their hold on the last playoff spot.

Sanchez Watt looks to return to action for Leeds after missing three games with a hamstring injury.

City would like to inch closer to an automatic promotion spot, while also keeping Leeds from jumping them in the standings.

Leon Barnett was injured last week for Norwich City and looks to be out for the rest of the season, opening up the center back spot to Whitbread.

Carlisle United Swindon Town

Frank Simek and Carlisle United take on Swindon Town in a crucial League One matchup.

Simek started and went the distance in Tuesday's big win over Oldham Athletic. The American should feature once again for the Cumbrians.

Carlisle's midweek win gave them some separation from the relegation zone and now find themselves seven points adrift.

Paul Thirlwell continues to be sidelined with a calf injury for Carlisle. Liam Cooper and Joe Dudgeon are both out with knee injuries. Sean McDaid has been ruled out for the season with knee ligament damage.

Town are currently in the relegation zone but could climb out of it with a win over Carlisle.

Swindon Town will be without forward Wincent Pericard who is nursing a knee injury. Alan O'Brien will be sidelined with a hamstring problem while Milan Misun looks to miss due to a knee injury.

Wycombe Wanderers Accrington

Jon-Paul Pittman and Wycombe take on Accrington in League Two play.

Pittman had a successful return from injury last week, having scored in the Wanderers' loss to Southend.

Matty Bloomfield left the midweek's game with injury and is doubtful to take part this weekend for Wycombe. Chris Westwood will miss with a groin injury as well.

Wycombe look to avenge their midweek loss and jump into an automatic promotion spot with a win.

Accrington Stanley hope to distance themselves from the relegation zone with a win over Wycombe.

They will be without Leam Richardson who is nursing a groin injury.

Notes:

Marcus Hahnemann will be on the bench as Wolves travel to West Brom.
