CHRISTOPHER ANDERSON - Thursday, February 24, 2011
St. Etienne return home to regroup after tough campaigns in the past two outings, looking to turn the tide against a Nice squad flirting with relegation.

American Carlos Bocanegra will stand in the backline for the 21st time this season in the green jersey.

Stephanois coach Christophe Galtier is still plagued a few minor injury worries. Boubacar Sanogo's nagging scar still hasn't healed completely, and defender Louis Nery found out he will be out eight weeks after picking up a knock two weekends ago. On a positive note, Argentine midfielder Alejandro Alonso will make a return to the line-up after missing out last week.

Nice coach Eric Roy enters Saturday's game with his future on the line, desperately needing points to steer clear of the relegation zone. Only a couple of points clear the Niçois fell at home last weekend to Paris St.-Germain with a trio of goals.

Drissa Diakité won't make the trip north after being ejected from the game against the Parisians, and handed a two-game suspension.

Nice got the best of St. Etienne at home last October in a 2-1 victory, retribution for having been ousted from the League Cup the month before by Les Verts.
