Since joining the first team at FC Nurnberg at the winter break, Timothy Chandler has enjoyed a terrific run of form and now he has been awarded a new contract at Nurnberg through 2013.

"It's true. Timothy Chandler has signed a new contract," Nurnberg press officer Katharina Wildermuth told YA.

Chandler, 20, has been a key player for Nurnberg at both right wing and right back since he joined the team after the team's winter trip to Turkey. In his game two weeks ago against Stuttgart, Chandler scored his first Bundesliga goal while also picking up two assists.

Nurnberg has not lost in the Bundesliga since Chandler has begun playing for them. They currently sit in eighth place in the Bundesliga and will host St. Pauli this Saturday, March 5th.

Do you think we will see him called into the national team later this month? I'm very excited to see him play.
