Carlos Bocanegra will headline American efforts in France this weekend as he leads St. Etienne in action against FC Lorient

FC Lorient – AS St. Etienne

Les Verts roll into Brittany on Saturday to make one last push for a Europe-bound finish to the season.

Defender Carlos Bocanegra will bolster the defense in search of retribution after falling to the Bretons at home last November.

In that game France international Kévin Gameiro scored twice on his way to a current tally of 16 goals this season, only two behind league-leading Moussa Sow.

Lorient are coming off a 3-3 tie away at AC Arles Avignon, in which they saw a two-goal lead disintegrate in the final half-hour.

Lorient coach Christian Gourcuff had to rest amny of his players in mid-week, but should have them all available for Saturday. Defender Arnaud Le Lan is the only starter who will miss out with a thigh injury.

After being suspended for last weekend's resounding 2-0 win over Stadt Brestois 29, captain Loïc Perrin's absence will continue after picking up an injury to his calf muscle. Although Yoann Andreu and Sylvain Marchal continue to be unavailable, Loris Nery and Boubacar Sanogo could return to the lineup if they get clearance after Friday afternoon's training.

Notes

Quentin Westberg is expected to mind backup-keeper spot for Evian TG FC on Friday night at Angers SCO.
