A last gasp goal for Altay denied Freddy Adu and Rizespor of three points in Turkish 1. Lig action on Sunday at Yeni Rize Şehir Stadi in Rize.

Adu started at right midfielder but only played the first half for the hosts when he subbed out and replaced by Yunus Ceylan at halftime.

Adu was man-marked while on the field limiting the American's ability to help create scoring chances.

Mehmet Al opened the scoring in the 24th minute for the hosts, a lead they would keep the bulk of the match until a very wild final 15 minutes.

Evren Avsar equalized for Altay in the 77th only to see Rizespor answer right back a minute later through an Ilyas Cakmak goal.

For all the world it looked as if Rizespor would claim the three points only to see Altay steal a late equalizer from Ergun Cengiz who quieted the crowd with his 90th minute goal.

Rizespor remain in second place in the standings with 44 points and will next travel to Mersin İdmanyurdu on Sunday.
