DAVID SMITH - Thursday, May 19, 2011
Mikkel Diskerud and Stabaek will try to work past their recent disappointment while Molde's pair of Americans will be absent as the team goes for their fourth win in five.

Odd Grenland - Stabaek IF

Mikkel Diskerud will be in Stabaek's midfield on Thursday when they pay a visit to Odd Grenland, with Monday's embarrassing loss still fresh in their minds.

After threatening to jump into the lead of the Tippeligaen standings, Stabaek were cruelly brought back down to earth on Monday night as they fell at home in a drab contest to last-place Sogndal.

They had won two straight heading into that game, and will hope it was just an anomaly so they can return to their high-scoring ways of the weeks before.

Odd have been the definition of mediocre so far this season, with a pair of wins, a pair of draws and three losses being enough for an 11th place standing, although they have notched up half of their eight points over the previous two contests.

Stabaek keeper Jon Knudsen could be back for the game after missing their previous game with a slight knee problem, while Odd will likely be missing forwards Torgeir Børven and Frode Johnsen to injuries.

Both Josh Gatt and Sean Cunningham are currently with the US U-20 National Team in France, and will miss Molde's home game against Fredrikstad FK on Thursday night.

Joseph Bendik will likely watch from Sogndal's bench as the backup keeper on Thursday night when the team hosts Lillestrøm.
