PREVIEW: WEEKEND SWEDISH ACTION
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
TAHARKA TAYLOR - Friday, June 10, 2011
The Allsvenskan resumes this weekend as Gale Agbossoumonde travels to IFK Göteborg and Ryan Miller looks to continue to impress for Halmstad BK.

Syrianska FC - Halmstad BK

Ryan Miller and Halmstad BK take on Syrianska FC on Saturday as both clubs return to Allsvenskan action.

There's a good chance Miller will start in defense for Halmstad as the 26-year-old has been featured in head coach Jose Ruiz's starting eleven in back-to-back matches.

However Halmstad head into the weekend having lost three consecutive matches and currently sit dead last in the Allsvenskan standings.

Halmstad will be without midfielder Shkodran Maholi who is out with an undisclosed injury.

IFK Göteborg – Djurgården

Gale Agbossoumonde and Djurgården will travel to Göteborg on Monday to take on IFK Göteborg.

Agbossoumonde will likely start in central defense for Djurgården, the club currently sits in fifteenth place in the Allsvenskan standings and will attempt to end a three match losing streak.

While Djurgården have lost three straight, they have been competitive, particularly in their last two matches but have failed earn points conceding late goals on both occasions.

Djurgården will be without starting defender Kebba Ceesay due to suspension.

Neither club are reporting injuries.

Västerås SK – Ljungskile

Nick Noble will get the start for Ljungskile when they travel to take on Västerås SK on Saturday.

The American goalkeeper will look for his first shutout in four games as the Ljungskile defense has experienced difficulty keeping their opponents from scoring lately giving up seven goals in their last three matches.

Västerås sit just three places behind Ljungskile in the Superettan standings and a win for the home team would bring the two clubs level.

A win is vital for Ljungskile as the club looks to rebound from what was a disappointing month of May.

Neither club are reporting any injuries .

Ängelholm - GIF Sundsvall

Matt Pyzdrowski will look for his second consecutive shutout on Saturday as Ängelholm host GIF Sundsvall.

Ängelholm have ascended towards the top of the Superettan standings in the last few weeks and currently sit just two points behind league leaders Degerfors.

Neither club are reporting any injuries at this time.

Notes

Degerfors starting goalkeeper Brian Edwards is suspended for this Saturday's match against Värnamo after accumulating his third yellow card against Västerås SK last weekend.

Samuel Petrone will likely not make the bench Mjällby AIF as they travel to Elfsborg.

Örebro will be without leading scorer Alejandro Bedoya on Monday night as the young central midfielder is currently with the US Men's team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
