TAHARKA TAYLOR - Saturday, June 18, 2011
Ryan Miller and Halmstad will try to pull free from the Allsvenskan celler while Gale Agbossoumonde will hope to see the field as Djurgarden go for their second straight win.

Halmstads BK - Örebro

Ryan Miller and Halmstad BK host Örebro on Saturday at Örjans Vall stadium as week twelve of the Allsvenskan season kicks off.

Miller will likely start in defense for Halmstad as the 26-year-old defender has earned head coach Josep Ruiz's favor in recent weeks having started the club's last three matches.

Halmstad face an Örebro side that is missing Alejandro Bedoya who is still with the US Men's team on international duty. Although the club has been without one of its best attacking playmakers, Örebro have won three consecutive league matches jumping to fourth place in the Allsvenskan standings.

Halmstad remain in last place with just six points having one a single match this season.

Örebro forward Andreas Haddad will miss Saturday's match due to suspension while Michael Almebäck's status is questionable after missing the club's Wednesday night Swedish Cup match with a calf injury.

Halmstad are not reporting any injuries.

Djurgården - Syrianska FC

Djurgården take on Syrianska FC at home on Monday as the club looks to build on its 4-0 win over IFK Göteborg in week eleven.

Djurgården are currently in second to last place and although head coach Magnus Pehrsson's decision to deviate from his usual starting eleven proved beneficial last week, it also means Gale Agbossoumonde could once again find himself on the bench.

Syrianska head into Monday's match up having earned seven points in the club's last three matches but are without Suleyman Sleyman, Johan Arneng, and Robert Massi due to undisclosed injuries.

Syrianska midfielder Abgar Barsom and Djurgården defender Daniel Sjölund are both suspended for Monday's match.

Degerfors - Brommapojkarna

Brian Edwards and Degerfors host Brommapojkarna at home on Saturday in a massive Superettan match up.

The two clubs are level at the top of the Superettan standings with twenty points apiece but Brommapojkarna sit in first place on goal differential.

Edward's performance in goal has been a big part of Degerfors success this season as the young goalkeeper looks for his sixth shutout of the season.

Brommapojkarna are without Gabriel Petrovic due to a strained knee ligament suffered in training this week while defender Pontus Segerstrom is also suspended on yellow cards.

Degerfors are not reporting any injuries.

Östers - Ängelholm FF

Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholm FF travel to take on Östers in search of a win on Saturday fallowing consecutive league draws.

Östers have won thee straight and currently sit in fourth place while Ängelholm are right behind in six place with eighteen points, one point behind Östers and two points behind the league leaders Brommapojkarna.

Ängelholm defender Robin Nilsson will miss Saturday's match up due to suspension.

Neither club are reporting injuries at this time.

Ljungskile - Qviding FIF

Nick Noble and Michael Thomas host Qviding FIF at home on Saturday as Ljungskile look to continue to move up the Superettan standings fallowing last week's 1-0 win over Västerås SK.

Both Noble and Thomas will start as they face a struggling Qviding side that remains the Superettan's only winless team. Ljungskile have experienced a relatively mediocre last couple of weeks going 2-2-2 in Superettan competition.

Both clubs have full rosters at their disposal for Saturday's match.

Notes

Samuel Petrone could make the bench for Mjällby AIF as the club hosts IFK Göteborg on Saturday. The 21-year-old forward made the bench last weekend but did not see in action in Mjällby's 4-0 loss to Elfsborg.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
