PREVIEW: OREBRO- DJURGARDEN
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
TAHARKA TAYLOR - Wednesday, June 22, 2011
Örebro host Djurgården at the Behm Arena on Thursday as Djurgården come off their first winning streak in league play of the season and Örebro look to continue their push for the top spot in the Allsvenskan standings.

Örebro find themselves in third place, the same position they finished in last season, after a slow start that left the club in the middle of the pack through most of May.

After winning five straight prior to last weekends draw against Halmstad BK, Örebro are in fine position to make a serious title run as we approach the midway point in the Allsvenskan season.

Djurgården have also experienced a hot streak of sorts in recent weeks having won two matches in a row.

However the team could be without captain Joel Riddez. The 31-year-old defender left Monday's match against IFK Göteborg with a calf injury in the 30th minute. Riddez's status for Thursday's match up will be a game decision for head coach Magnus Pehrsson.

Alejandro Bedoya will mist his third Allsvenskan match due to the US Men's advancement to the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup while Djurgården defender Gale Agbossoumonde will likely start on the bench after it was revealed that his absence from the starting line up the past two weeks were due to disciplinary reasons. Örebro will also be without starting defender Nordin Gerzic due to suspension.
