GARZA LEAVES ESTORIL, TRAFFIC SPORTS
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
BRIAN SCIARETTA - Friday, July 1, 2011
After spending last year with Estoril Praia of the Portuguese second division, left-back Gregory Garza is now a free agent and is no longer with the club.

Garza, 19, became a professional when he signed with the Brazilian-based sports management company Traffic Sports who owned his rights.

On Thursday Traffic's Sporting Director Fernando Clavijo confirmed to YA that Garza is now no longer with Estoril or Traffic Sports.

In 2008, Garza joined Sporting Lisbon where he won two Portuguese U-19 titles. In August 2010 Garza joined Estori where he made two appearances in the 2010/11 season.

Garza has spent significant time with US youth national teams in the past. In 2007, he was part of the US U-17 World Cup team and this past spring he was part of the US U-20 team for the unsuccessful World Cup qualifying campaign.

Good, he's not with that hack company anymore. That company has ruined so many careers.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
