MICHAEL ADUBATO - Thursday, August 4, 2011
After a disastrous start to the new season last weekend, Anderlecht will be looking to pick up their first points when Mechelen comes to town on Friday night.

American midfielder Sacha Kljestan never got off the bench during the season opener but should see some playing time against the Flemish team.

Unfortunately for Les Mauves however, Diogo Bittencourt picked up a groin injury in training and will more than likely not be able to take part. Ziguy Badibanga, Olivier Deschacht, Jonathan Legear, Ondrej Mazuch, Guillermo Molins and Ronald Vargas also have niggling injuries and are also expected to sit this one out.

The Kakkers are looking just as bad as their hosts on the injury front with five players suffering injuries - Wouter Biebauw, Kevin Geudens, Jaime Ruiz, Anthony Van Loo and Bjarni Vidarsson.

While Anderlecht lost to new boys OH Louvain last week, Mechelen collected all three points against St Truiden.
