US midfielder Alejandro Bedoya will join Rangers this week after Orebro accepted an improved offer from the Scottish champions.
"We have agreed to terms with Rangers for Bedoya," a team official told YA on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to confirm the news. "He will be leaving for Glasgow in the next day or two."
After the Swedes initially denied a bid from Rangers last month, Bedoya signed a pre-contract with the club that was to take effect in January 2012 after his current deal with Orebro expired following the Allsvenskan season in October.
However, after the British government granted his work permit via the appeals process, Orebro accepted the lastest Rangers offer for the American international which will see him join US teammate Maurice Edu.
Bedoya, 24, has spent his entire professional career with Orebro after signing his first contract in January 2009.
Over parts of three seasons, Bedoya appeared in 63 league contests scoring nine goals.
