PREVIEW: WEEKEND SWEDISH ACTION
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
JOHN KRETLOW - Friday, August 26, 2011
Nick Noble and Michael Thomas look to propel Ljungskile SK into the promotion race with a win this week while Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholms FF hope to solidify their first place spot when they take on Falkenbergs FF.

Ljungskile SK - Degerfors IF

Nick Noble and Michael Thomas look to feature as Ljungskile SK takes on Brian Edwards and Degerfors in weekend Superettan action.

The American duo started and went the full 90 minutes in Ljungskile's tie against Landskrona Bois last week. Both are expected to start this weekend.

Edwards started at goal for Degerfors last week in their loss to Ängelholms FF. The American should start once again this week.

Ljungskile find themselves six points from the last promotion spot and look for the win to keep pace in the standings. Degerfors is three points ahead of Ljungskile and trails GIF Sundsvall by three points for the last promotion spot.

Johan Patriksson will miss due to suspension for Ljungskile. He is the only scratch for either team going into the game.

Ängelholms FF - Falkenbergs FF

Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholms FF take on Falkenbergs FF in a crucial battle for both teams.

Pyzdrowski started and went the distance in Ängelholms' win over Degerfors IF last week. He should get the start once again this weekend.

The newly acquired American Lester Dewee could make the gameday roster. If the 19-year old does find the field it would be his debut for Ängelholms.

Ängelholms are currently in first place and hold one of the two automatic promotion spots in the Superettan. They have not lost since May 23rd and they look to keep that impressive streak going this week.

Falkenbergs go into the game into the game in fifth place, trailing GIF Sundsvall by four points for the playoff promotion spot. A win would propel them possibly to within one point of the coveted playoff spot.

Notes

Ryan Miller hopes to feature in Halmstads BK's game against Helsingborgs IF.

Sam Petrone looks for playing time in Mjällby's game against GAIS.
