Leo Krupnik and Maccabi Netanya cruised to an impressive road victory over Bryan Gerzicich and Hapoel Kiryat Shmona on Saturday in the second round of the Israeli Premier League season.

Hapoel Kiryat Shmona 1-3 Maccabi Netanya

After falling behind early, Maccabi Netanya rallied for three straight unanswered goals en route to a convincing win over Hapoel Kiryat Shmona.

Leo Krupnik went the distance for Maccabi Netanya while Bryan Gerzicich did the same for Kiryat Shmona.

In the ninth minute Kiryat Shmona took a 1-0 lead when forward Barak Badash headed home a cross from left wing delivered by Yuval Avidor.

In the 45th minute, Maccabi Netanya equalized when Mohamd Kalebat hit a shot from 10 yards out. Danny Amos was able to come up with the save but not prevent the rebound. Nir Nachum was able to collect the ball on the left and fire home a shot over Amos.

One minute into the second half, Maccabi Netnaya pulled ahead 2-1 when Mohamd Kalebat hit a powerful shot from 20 yards out on the left side that beat Amos to the near post.

In the 79th minute, Nir Machum put the game out of reach with his second goal of the game. On the Maccabi Netanya forward Firas Mughrabi had the ball just inside the box. He was able to find a wide open Nachum on the right side who was able to fire it home past a helpless Amos for a 3-1 lead.

Following the international break, Maccabi Netanya will return to action on September 9 when they host Maccabi Petah Tikva.

Haopel Kiryat Shmona will hope to put on a better performance in their next game when they visit Hapoel Petah Tikva in two weeks.

Notes:

Ryan Adeleye did not play for Hapoel Be'er Shava when they fell 4-3 on the road to Bnei Sakhnin.
