JOHN KRETLOW - Monday, September 5, 2011
Lester Dewee scored his first goal for Ängelholms FF in dramatic fashion while Brian Edwards and Degerfors IF won a thriller over Hammarby.

Assyriska FF 2 - 2 Ängelholms FF

Lester Dewee scored his first goal in dramatic fashion as Ängelholms FF scored in the fourth minute of extra time to salvage a tie against Assyriska FF.

Matt Pyzdrowski got the start and went the distance while Dewee came on in the 71st minute.

Izuchukwu Emeh scored the first goal of the game for Assyriska as he took a pass from Mikael Thorstensson and fired home in the 11th minute before Stefan Batan doubled their score in the 73rd minute from a Jimmie Augustsson assist.

The 84th minute though saw Martin Andersen score and put Ängelholms back in the game, setting up a dramatic finish.

With just moments before the final whistle was blown, Dewee took a long pass from American goal keeper Pyzdrowski and put the ball in the back of the net, opening his account for Ängelholms.

Neither team received a caution.

Without the win, Ängelholms only has a one point lead above Atvidabergs FF for the Superettan lead.

Ängelholms will take on Landskrona Bois next week while Assyriska will play Falkenberg FF.

Ljungskile SK 1 - 2 Atvidabergs FF

Nick Noble and Michael Thomas were not able to help Ljungskile SK get the win over Atvidabergs FF in Superettan action this weekend.

Atvidabergs got on the score sheet first when Kristian Bergström took a Jesper Arvidsson pass and fired home in the 17th minute.

Just before half time, Bergström doubled the lead for Atvidabergs, putting Ljungskile in a deep second half hole.

Joakim Runnemo though put Ljungskile in the game when he scored off of a Rickard Nilsson pass in the 60th minute.

Atvidabergs lead was too much in the end, as Ljungskile's last minute efforts were not enough to put them over the top.

Alberis Sergio Angelo Da Silva and Viktor Prodell got the only yellow cards of the game for Atvidabergs.

The big win for Atvidabergs puts them within one point of league leaders Ängelholms while Ljungskile missed an opportunity to climb closer to a playoff spot.

Atvidabergs next takes on IK Brage. Ljungskile will take on Jönköping Södra IF.

Degerfors IF 3 - 2 Hammarby

Brian Edwards and Degerfors IF took down Hammarby in an action packed Superettan game.

Edwards started and went the distance in Degerfors' win.

Maic Sema opened the scoring in the 20th minute when he took a Bjorn Runström pass and fired home for Hammarby.

Peter Samuelsson was able to put Degerfors on the score sheet with the game tying goal just before half, but Sema was able to find the back of the net once again for Hammarby, again putting Degerfors behind.

Samuelsson then scored his second and third goals of the game in the 71st and 80th, giving Degerfors the come from behind victory.

Paulinho Guara was the only caution of the game for Hammarby.

Degerfors next takes on Vasteras SK while Hammarby will play Sundsvall.
