JOHN KRETLOW - Friday, September 30, 2011
The American duo at IFK Mariehamn look to get back in the win column while Jeremy Vuolo and AC Oulu hope to make a push towards promotion.
IFK Mareihamn - HJK
Mason Trafford and Josh Wicks take on HJK in weekend Veikkausliiga action.
Trafford started and went the distance in Mariehamn's midweek loss while Wicks did not feature. Both look to get playing time on Sunday.
Mariehamn are coming off two straight losses and will look to reverse their luck against HJK. IFK are not in any danger of relegation nor are they a threat to qualify for Europe this season.
With a win, HJK could officially be crowned Veikkausliiga champions. HJK will hope to top off their impressive season with a win and coast for the rest of the season.
Aleksei Kangaskolkka, Ekhiabhi Okodugha, Mikko Paatelainen, Markus Paatelainen, and Fernando de Abreu are all possible omissions due to injury for Mariehamn.
Viikingit - PS Kemi Kings
Daniel Stevens and Kyle Luetkehans look to help PS Kemi Kings as they take on Viikingit in the Ykkönen.
Stevens and Luetkehans both featured in Kemi's last win over PK-35. The American duo could see the field this weekend.
Kemi are in the relegation zone and are six points from safety. They will need the win as they only have three more games left in the season.
Viikingit trail first place FC Lahti and promotion by six points with two games left to play. They will need to win both games left but are still unlikely to be promoted.
Jippo - AC Oulu
Jeremy Vuolo and AC Oulu take on Jippo in the Ykkönen.
Vuolo started and went the distance in Oulu's last game against OPS. He should again get the start against Jippo.
Oulu are coming off a big win over OPS and will look to duplicate that success this weekend. They are currently five points from leaders FC Lahti with three games left.
Jippo are winless in their last three games but are in no real danger to be relegated this season.
Guiseppe Funicello hopes to see the field for VPS as they take on FF Jaro.
Kellan Wilson will be on the bench as HIFK take on Hämeenlinna
