Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholms FF took a blow to their promotion chances while Michael Thomas scored in Ljungskile SK's big win over Vasteras.

GIF Sundsvall 6-0 Ängelholms FF

Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholms FF went down hard to GIF Sundsvall in a crucial Superettan match.

Pyzdrowski started and went the distance for Ängelhoms while American Lester Dewee did not dress.

It was not a good day for Ängelholms FF as the goals began to pour in for GIF Sundsvall early in the game, and by the 30th minute the home team was up four.

Ari Freyr Skulason, Robert Lundström, Fredrik Holster, and Emil Forsberg scored goals for Sundsvall in the first half, cementing their lead over Ängelholms.

The scoring did not stop in the second half as Pontus Engblom notched home a Christian Brink set up in the 48th minute for Sundsvall.

Sundsvall then rubbed salt on the wound by scoring one more goal when Jonas Wallerstedt scored in stoppage time.

Kevin Walker was booked for Sundsvall while Marcus Lindberg was cautioned for Ängelholms.

Sundsvall now is in first place in the Superettan while Ängelholms stay in third place.

Ängelholms next hosts Östers while Sundsvall travels to play Falkenberg.

Degerfors IF 2-0 IFK Värnamo

Brian Edwards and Degerfors IF beat IFK Värnamo to stay alive for a possible shot at promotion.

Edwards started and went the distance for Degerfors.

Andreas Ljunggren Eriksson and Martin Broberg scored for Degerfors in the 8th and 34th minute respectively.

Without any goals scored for either team for the rest of the game, the two tallies were enough to give Degerfors the crucial three points.

Degerfors is now within three points of the qualification promotion spot that Ängelholms currenty holds. With three games left in the season Degerfors has a reasonable shot at promotion.

Värnamo are now just two points from the relegation zone.

Tobias Solberg and Christopher Brandborn were booked for Degerfors while Donald Wellington received a yellow card for Värnamo.

Ljungskile SK 5-0 Vasteras SK FK

Nick Noble and Michael Thomas helped Ljungskile SK wallop Vasteras SK FK in the Superettan this weekend.

Noble and Thomas both went the distance for Ljungskile.

The only first hald goal came in the 23rd minute when Erik Nilsson scored after a Gabriel Altemark Vanneryr set up for Ljungskile.

In the second half, Thomas got on the scoreboard in the 72nd minute, doubling Ljungskile's lead.

The game quickly got out of control for Vasteras when three more goals were scored for Ljungskile in the final ten minutes of the game. Joakim Runnemo, Gabriel Altemark, and Robin Iglica notched home Ljungskile's final goals.

Koyar Salimi, Oscar Pehrsson, and Philip Tronét were booked for Vasteras.

Ljungslike is in 6th place in the standings and still have a slight chance at catching Ängelholms for the qualification promotion spot.

Vasteras continues in to be in the relegation zone while they still have a shot to reach a relegation playoff.

Ljungskile next takes on Qviding while Vasteras hosts Brage.


Ryan Miller made a cameo appearance in Halmstads BK's loss to Örebro.

Same Petrone did not dress in Mjälby AIF's loss to IFK Gothenberg.
