ANDREW VORCE - Monday, October 24, 2011
Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu helped Rangers win away at Hearts as Alejandro Bedoya made the game day roster but remained on the bench.

Rangers opened up the scoring just 21 minutes in through Steven Naismith. Steven Whittaker made the initial run and with his cross he was able to pick out Naismith. With the ball at his mercy he was able to get a clean strike past Marian Kello for the opener.

After starting on the bench, eventually Nikica Jelavic was able to come on as a substitute and put the game to bed in the 74th minute. With what was surely his first touch on the ball the red hot striker was able to side foot his volley past the Hearts goalkeeper.

Hearts picked up four yellow cards by the way of Ian Black, Danny Grainger, Ryan Stevenson, and Marius Zaliukas. Both Whittaker and Dorin Goian picked up cards for Rangers who next play Aberdeen on Saturday.
