PREVIEW: ÄNGELHOMS FF - SYRIANSKA FC
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
JOHN KRETLOW - Thursday, October 27, 2011
Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholms FF fight for promotion as they take on Syrianska FC in the first leg of Sweden's promotion/relegation playoff.

Pyzdrowski started and went the distance in Ängelholms' tie to Hammarby. He is likely to start once again on Thursday.

In Sweden, the Allsvenskan third to last team plays the Superettan's third place team in a two leg playoff. The victor wins a spot in next season's Allsvenskan.

Ängelhoms needed a win last week in order to reach automatic promotion, but the Hammarby tie caused them to finish the season in third place.

Syrianksa has lost two games in a row but will need to reverse their form if they want to continue in the Swedish first division. They dodged a bullet in the final weekend, as Trelleborg FF lost and thus was not able to jump them in the standings.

David Bennhage missed last week's game for Ängelholms due to suspension but will be available for the playoff.

After Thursday's game, the second leg of the playoff will be played on Sunday in Syrianska turf.
