Oguchi Onyewu should return to the Sporting lineup against Feirense, while Tony Taylor and Caleb Patterson-Sewell will likely retain their spots in Atlético's starting eleven when Covilhã come to town.

Sporting CP - CD Feirense

After missing the 6-1 destruction of Gil Vicente last week with a groin injury, Onyewu will look to be reinserted into his customary spot in central defense when Sporting visit the Estádio Municipal in Aveiro.

The Lisbon giants are on a run of nine successive victories in all competitions, their best streak in several seasons, and the Sporting faithful will fully expect the winning ways to continue against a Feirense team with just one win on the season.

While a healthy Gooch can expect to start, it is less clear who will be paired with the World Cup veteran. Peruvian Alberto Rodriguez has been Onyewu's most frequent partner, though Anderson Polga has played well in their absence and Daniel Carriço scored last week, giving Domingos Paciencia plenty of options.

Sporting enter the weekend three points behind Porto and Benfica, who are tied for first place.

Atlético CP - SC Covilhã

Also on Saturday, Atlético welcome Covilhã to Lisbon as Tony Taylor and Caleb Patterson-Sewell will hope to extend their lead at the top of the Liga Orangina standings.

Atlético are guaranteed to retain their position regardless of the weekend's results, as they have a four point lead over second place Penafiel, but the hosts will be confident their defense can earn a full three points against a team which has scored just five times in seven games.

Patterson-Sewell has backstopped Atlético to five shutouts on the season, including one in every home game so far.

For its part the Covilhã defense has also performed well this season, giving up a mere five goals and pitching two shutouts of their own in their most recent games.
