CHRISTOPHER MCCOLLUM - Saturday, October 29, 2011
Herculez Gomez looks to return to his scoring ways for Tecos while DaMarcus Beasley looks to build on another strong performance as Puebla hosts America.

Estudiantes Tecos - Cruz Azul

Herculez Gomez's five game goal scoring streak ended against Puebla this past Wednesday, and he will be looking forward to getting back on track against fourth place Cruz Azul.

Estudiantes travels to Cruz Azul while sitting in 14th place, hoping for an upset victory that could move them as high as eighth.

Cruz Azul is coming off of a scoreless draw against Toluca in Week 15 action, and will be eagerly seeking three points to send them back towards the top of the leader board.

Puebla - America

DaMarcus Beasley continues to solidify himself as the iron man of the Puebla roster, averaging over 89 minutes per game.

Puebla is coming off of a victory over Estudiantes and will face a weak America team that should see them earn another victory and climb into the top half of the leader board.

However, with upsets happening every week, America will be looking to stonewall their visitors and climb out of the cellar that they're sharing with Atlas. Edgar Castillo has not been dressing lately, and nothing is expected to change.

America will be without Vicente Sanchez due to red card suspension.

San Luis - Tijuana

Michael Orozco was back in the starting lineup for San Luis in Week 15, and after helping to lead them to a solid victory over Queretaro, he will likely remain in the lineup. With another San Luis victory, they can climb as high as fourth place, with favorable results across the board.

Tijuana is coming off a shutout victory over Chiapas, and will look for another victory to move them further away from last place Atlas.

Daniel Antunez is not expected to dress for Estudiantes as they take on Cruz Azul.

Jonathan Bornstein is not expected to dress for Tigres against Santos Laguna.

Jose Torres will not dress for Pachuca as they take on Monterrey due to injury.

Adrian Ruelas is not expected to dress for Chiapas against Pumas.

Marco Vidal did not dress for Club Leon against Altamira on Friday, October 28. Club Leon will next play Dorados on November 5, in second division action.
