Jonathan Spector continues to be a part of Birmingham City's hot streak, as the Blues defeated Burnley in midweek Championship play.

Spector started and went the distance once again for Birmingham City. The start was the American's sixth straight game for the Blues at midfield.

With games in hand compared to their rivals in the Championship, City are feeling comfortable in the top half of the standings.

The Blues got on the bard quick when Jean Beausejour knocked home a rebound that found the back of the net after a Chris Burke shot in the 2nd minute of the game.

Just minutes into the second half Burnley leveled the game after Ross Wallace's corner kick eventually found Marvyn Bartley who fired home from 20 yards out.

In stoppage time, a David Murphy pass found Chris Burke who scored the dramatic winner for City.

Murphy received a yellow card for Birmingham, while Brian Easton was booked for Burnley.

The loss is Burnely's fourth in a row and puts them just two points above the relegation zone.

The Blues take on Blackpool next while Burnley travel to play Hull City.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
