RECAP: HULL CITY 2 - 1 BIRMINGHAM CITY
EXTRA TIME
JOHN KRETLOW - Thursday, December 8, 2011
Jonathan Spector went the distance in Birmingham City's tough loss to Hull City in a midweek clash with surging Hull City.

Spector started and went the distance for Birmingham City.

Despite Hull's dominant first half display, Birmingham City went up in the 34th minute when Chris Wood scored from just inside the area after a pass from Marlon King.

Just seconds after the restart though Hull leveled the score when Cameron Stewart found Robert Koren who knocked home passed Birmingham ‘keeper Boaz Myhill.

In the 67th minute Aaron Mclean shot passed Myhill and beat him near post in the eventual game winner for Hull.

Hull now climb into a playoff spot, while Birmingham fall to 14th place.

Birmingham next take on Doncaster rovers this weekend, while Hull travel to play Coventry City.
