SCOTT PETERSON - Friday, December 16, 2011
Michael Bradley and the Flying Donkeys of Chievo Verona will look to get back in the win column as they host Cagliari Calcio on Saturday in the Serie A.

Last time out, the Mussi Volanti were felled by an Antonio di Natale double as the Veronans lost 2-1 to co-leaders Udinese.
On the whole, it has been a bright first half of the year for Domenico di Carlo's team with 16 points from 14 matches and 4 points clear of the relegation zone in 15th place.

The only exclusion of note is to substitute Peruvian midfielder Rinaldo Cruzado, who has been ruled out due to an injury concern.

Goals have been hard to come by for Chievo, who have netted a paltry 11 times in 14 matches. Barring any last second modification, Bradley will make his 12th start in a row in the center of Chievo's midfield.

Scoring goals has also proved to be a largely fruitless endeavor for head coach Davide Ballardini and Cagliari Calcio, who also have tallied just 11 times in 14 outings. Cagliari's leading scorer is midfielder Danielle Conti, son of former Sqaudra Azzura and AS Roma star Bruno, with three goals.

Cagliari come into Saturday's match with just two wins in their last 10, but Chievo would be wise to not take the Sardinians lightly as both of those have been away from home.

With a victory, Chievo would pull ahead of Cagliari in the standings, who has 18 points, good enough for 9th place.
Kickoff is set for Saturday evening at 6 p.m. local time in the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi in Verona.
