Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City were defeated by Crystal Palace in Monday night English Championship action.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Birmingham City

Jonathan Spector and his Birmingham City team mates came away with nothing from their Monday night trip to London as they lost by a solitary goal on the night against Crystal Palace in Monday Championship action.

Spector started and went the distance for City but it was Kagisho Dikgacoi who wrote the headlines with his head in the 84th minute to move Palace up to eighth place. Crystal Palace have only lost once in their last five league games. They are in 8th place in the Championship standings.

Birmingham City have only won once in their last five games. They are in 14th place and trail Leeds United by six points for the last playoff spot.

Mile Jedinak was booked for Palace, while Curtis Davies received a yellow card for City.

Next up for Birmingham is a visit from West Ham United as City's American will look to do well against his old employers.
