BRIAN SCIARETTA - Wednesday, December 21, 2011
It was announced today that American left back Greg Garza has finally signed with Club Tijuana of the Mexican Primera.

Garza, 20, had previously played with Portuguese club Estoril but has been without a club since May.

"Deal is confirmed," Garza's agent Chris Megaloudis told YA. "He signed a two year contract with Tijuana. They play a 5-3-2 formation and he has been used in the left wing back position which he is perfectly suited for."

Garza previously signed with the Brazilian sports management company Traffic Sports but became a free agent in May. Megaloudis stressed that he was happy with the job Traffic did.

"I would like to thank Traffic Sports for their role in Bryan Arguez's sale to Montreal and Greg's development which lead to the chance at Tijuana," Megaloudis said. "Traffic have provided options tfor kids to start or restart careers and have shown a willingness to allow players to move on when the time and opportunity is right."

Garza has been a regular with US youth national teams in the past. He has played with the US U-17, US U-20, and last month he was in camp with the US U-23 team in Germany.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
