PREVIEW: CHIEVO VERONA - PALERMO

SCOTT PETERSON - Saturday, January 14, 2012
Michael Bradley and Chievo Verona will look to give their home fans a big victory as the Flying Donkeys host US Palermo in Sunday action in the Serie A.

Bradley figures to be in the starting lineup for Mimmo di Carlo's squad as the New Jersey native has been a key cog in Chievo's midfield since arriving in the summer.

Chievo is six points above the relegation zone, but with the Serie A campaign still in the first half of the season, anything could still happen. With a victory versus the Sicilians on Sunday, Chievo would leapfrog Palermo in the standings and would be one more step closer to their goal of keeping their Serie A status.

The guests from Palermo would appear to be welcome visitors as they have been in a slump recently. The Sicilians haven't won a match since November, have only mustered a single point in their past five matches and have only found the back of the net twice during the skid.

The most dangerous Sicilian is striker Fabrizio Miccoli, who has scored five times to lead all scorers in Sunday's match.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.
