JOHN KRETLOW - Wednesday, January 18, 2012
Jonathan Spector hopes to help Birmingham City reach the fourth round of the FA Cup with a replay win over Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Spector and the Blues tied Wolverhampton 0-0 in their first game against eachother in the third round in Birmingham. The American defender is expected to take part in the cup replay game to see who moves on to the fourth round.
Wolves are having a tough season in the Premier League, currently in 16th place and just a point above the relegation zone.
They will be playing at home, but Wolverhampton has gone three games winless at the Molineux Stadium. Wolves' fans will hope for a better result.
City comes into the game on fire, having gone six games unbeaten. Last weekend they beat Millwall 6-0 on the road. The Blues hope to bring that momentum into the matchup.
Wolves look to be without Roger Johnson, Kevin Foley, and Matt Jarvis.
Guirane N'Daw and Stephen Carr will miss for Birmingham, though Pablo Ibanez could make his return to the Blues lineup after missing time because of a knee problem.
