EXTRA TIME
MICHAEL ADUBATO - Friday, January 20, 2012
Sacha Kljestan and Anderlecht head to Flanders on Saturday, while Devann Yao and Boussu-Dour get to play at home on Sunday in Belgian soccer action.

Kortrijk - Anderlecht

Anderlecht will hope to catch the Flemish side with their heads still in the clouds after Kortrijk knocked Standard Liege out of the Belgian FA Cup in midweek. De Kerels have become a bit of a surprise package in the league this season as they have climbed up into fourth place.

Sacha Kljestan will be rooted in Anderlecht's midfield and the recent winner of the Belgian League Golden Boot, Matias Suarez will also be on duty. The team is reporting no new injuries so Coach Ariel Jacobs will be spoiled for choice.

Kortrijk have no new injuries to report however, Serbian striker Dalibor Veselinović who is on loan from the Brussels based team had written into his contract that he cannot play against les Mauves. Another loanee, Argentinian Pablo Chavarrķa, is eligible.

Last September in Brussels, Anderlecht came out 2-0 winners over Kortrijk with goals from ex-Liverpool man Milan Jovanovic and Guillaume Gillet.

Notes:

Having netted a late goal for Roeselare last weekend, Tristan Bowen will be looking to add to his minutes as his team takes on cellar-dwellers Wetteren.

Devann Yao's 12th place Boussu-Dour will welcome 11th place Heist on Sunday afternoon. The last time out the team's shared the points with a 1-1 scoreline.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
