PREVIEW: MACCABI TEL AVIV - KIRYAT SHMONA
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
BRIAN SCIARETTA - Monday, January 30, 2012
Hapoel Kiryat Shmona will aim to extend their lead in the Israeli Premier League on Monday when they visit Maccabi Tel Aviv at Bloomfield Stadium.

Bryan Gerzicich has been a key member of Kiryat Shmona's terrific season and the Los Angeles native will start in defensive midfield.

Kiryat Shmona have been nearly unstoppable this season as they have not lost a game since August and have only allowed ten goals through 22 games this year. They currently sit nine points ahead of second place Hapoel Tel Aviv but a win would pull them 12 points clear.

Maccabi Tel Aviv are traditionally one of the strongest teams in the Israeli Premier League but they currently sit in seventh place with 33 points and they trail Kiryat Shmona by 18 points. In their last game they lost 3-1 to Maccabi Haifa.

Both teams are expecting for full squads for Monday's game.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
