US U-23'S TO HOST MEXICO

US Soccer announced today that the US U-23 national team will take on the U-23 team from Mexico on Wednesday February 29 in at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas.

The US team will hold camp prior to the game beginning on February 19. With

The game will be an important test for head coach Caleb Porter and the US team ahead of Olympic qualifying which begins on March 22 when they take on Cuba at LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee.

For the qualifying tournament, the US was drawn into Group A along with Cuba, Canada, and El Salvador. The top two teams from that group advance to the semifinal round which will serve as a one-game playoff to determine who will qualify for the Olympics.
