U.S. U-17 and Liverpool reserve Marc Pelosi suffered an injury to his MCL in a training incident this past Sunday, though the injury is not serious and will not require surgery.

Pelosi spoke to YA, giving an update on his injury, "My foot was planted and someone hit me from the side and my knee just buckled. It's a Grade 2 MCL sprain. It could have been worse."

A Grade 2 sprain usually requires a month of recuperation, and Pelosi is fortunate that the injury was not more severe. Pelosi joined Liverpool in November and has been gaining valuable experience with the reserves.

Pelosi is also widely expected to be part of the US U-20 team this cycle. He was called into the camp in January but Liverpool denied his release.
