CHRISTOPHER MCCOLLUM - Monday, February 20, 2012
U-20 coach Tab Ramos announced 26 players who will join the latest installment of National Team camps for the year.

The camp is the second of the year for the U-20 team as Ramos continues his search for the perfect roster to take to the CONCACAF Championship early next year that will act as qualifiers for the 2013 U-20 World Cup being held in Turkey.

There are nine players representing club teams from five different leagues around the world, with Santos Laguna and Tigres providing four of them, and 10 others playing in college. The remaining seven are either free agents or playing in MLS development academies.

The big surprise on the roster is Juan Ocegueda, who turned down Mexico's U-20 team to play with the United States (further details on that coming up soon at YA). The Riverside, California native had been courted by Mexico but has stated his intentions of staying in the stars and stripes.

Molde left back Sean Cunningham was called in initially but was replaced by Javan Torre of the LA Galaxy academy.

California is the most heavily represented state, with nine players, while traditional contributor Texas has five.

The camp will include games against the reserve teams of FC Dallas and Montreal Impact.
